·         1927 First TV, called Image Dissector, was patented by Philo Farnsworth

·         1930 Charles Jenkins broadcasts the first TV commercial

·         Cable became available in 1953.

·         1950 first color television developed.  Color Television did not become popular within American households until the 1960-70s when half of the TVs in homes were color sets
